What I Wore and a Fast for Peace

Joining up again with Fine Linen and Purple for What I Wore Sunday after a bit of a hiatus. So, without further ado, here's what I wore! (I should note I've had a great desire to try a mantilla for awhile and Jenna's linkup is added incentive, but the two hooligans turned me yellow...not to mention I couldn't find one at our Catholic supply store - online it is. On a braver weekend maybe I'll give that a try.)

Dress: EShakti
Shoes: DSW
Glasses: BUM Equipment via Costco
Bracelet: Faith@Work

Lovely outtake, no? Keepin' it
klassy at the Casa!

For every one who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.” Luke 14:11

With the continued turmoil in the Middle East, especially the report of chemical weapons use in Syria and the US Congress potentially authorizing military intervention in Syria soon, Pope Francis' call for a day of fasting for peace has come at a critical hour. We know God is mightier than any army and more merciful than any humanitarian. Join the Holy Father and Catholics around the world next Saturday, September 7, as we fast for peace in the world. May His mercy rain down and His wisdom guide our words and actions as a nation.

  1. Stopping by from WIWS! That is such a cute dress! I love the Peter Pan Collar... so sweet. I've been wearing a veil/mantilla/headcover for over 2 years and for me, it's an amazing way to focus my heart during Mass. I hop you found a great one!
