Thanks to Auntie G for the awesome car seat! Love, Li'l G |
Last night I was a little skeptical about taking our new bundle of joy home...who would take her to the nursery at night when I wanted to sleep? And who would bring me pain meds and ice chips upon request?!? It turns out God predicted my questions and made our last night at the hospital one that would make me look forward to setting our own schedule and not having nurses come in and out at all hours.
Li'l G, being the "beast" she is, has outgrown her stay in the bassinet that the hospital provides. Now, don't get me wrong, she still fits in it, but she likes to stretch and move her arms while she sleeps and now hits herself on the plastic sides. Yes, one might think, "well, why don't you swaddle her?" Did I mention she likes to move her arms in the air like she just don't care? Our Li'l G isn't much for the full swaddle, and yet, that seems to be what the nurse insisted on everytime she came in. This meant, of course, that we didn't sleep at all.
And so, the time has come to take our new little family on home. I'm sure we'll have a lot to learn, but we'll figure it out as we go along...right? Right?? :)
