Five Faves: From Under The Weather

We are fighting a bug at Casa McCormick, and mama has a doozy. With that in mind, here are a few of my favorite things this week!

1) Sleeping babies

2) Quiet toddlers

3) Soothing Tissues

4) Cozy bed with piles of pillows, cause laying down flat ain't no walk in the park this week! Oh, and I love this duvet set from Ikea, which was a great find last summer when we moved our master bedroom upstairs to make room for nursery nĂºmero duo. It pulls together the eclectic color mix in the bungalow. (Brown wood, white shelves, black crates and green curtains. Oy.)

5) Cranberry juice spritzers in "spill proof" cup. About 1/3 glass cranberry, fill with sparkling water and add lime if you've got it. It's almost like a cranberry limeade made at home! Oh, and the almost spill proof cup is a blessing for when the baby and toddler arise from their above positions. :)

PS - the cup has Philippians 4:13 on it - also a good reminder in the midst of the sicky blahs.

Hallie and the fam are also fighting the good fight, so she is sans a fave five this week. You should still go check out more uplifting and helpful faves at Moxie Wife (www.moxiewife.com) though. Go. Read. You'll be glad you did!

    1. Amen! Though I must remember that if they sleep more than usual during the day, they don't necessarily sleep as much at night.... Doh!

  3. Whenever I get sick, those tissues are my best friend! When you take pictures, what do you do to make them look so good??

    1. I heart everything about them, except that I need to keep them out of grabby little hands' reach! ;) Photos...the top two I edited in an app called Vintique. The bottom ones I just adjusted natural lighting. There are a bunch of apps you can use. My faves to go to are Instagram, of course, then Camera+, Snapseed and Vintique. I just play until I like what I see. :)

    1. What I really fave are Sonic limeades and Izze sparkling juices, but at $1-2 a pop, that adds up. Enter mama's homemade concoction. I'm thinking of trying to add mint and see what I think of that. We shall see. If I don't grow it, mint is expensivo. You need a cute cup. With a lid. Because kids are monster destroyers. :)
